Every month at Polished by Kim, I document the work that leaves the studio — and May 2026 was one of the most varied and beautiful months yet. From clean, minimal French tips to vibrant nail art, soft pastels to bold neons, this gallery captures the full range of what we create together in the studio.

About Each Look
Look 1 — Gel X, stiletto shape, nail art: Stiletto French tips with a nude pink base and crisp white tips. One of those sets that looks effortless but has a lot of precision behind it.
Look 2 — Gel Polish, round shape, nail art: Pink cat-eye nails mixed with sheer nude bases decorated with tiny gold hearts and stars. A fun, feminine mix that works really well together.
Look 3 — Gel Polish, squoval shape: Bright glossy yellow on a squoval shape. Clean, minimal, and surprisingly versatile — this one photographs beautifully.
Look 4 — Gel Polish, oval shape, nail art: Bright pink and yellow ovals with hand-painted wavy line art in light pink and orange. Very summer, very playful.
Look 5 — Gel Polish, round shape, nail art: Soft pastel tips in blue, lavender, and yellow over a sheer nude base, with silver stars and glitter scattered throughout. Subtle and dreamy.
Look 6 — Gel Polish, almond shape, nail art: Hand-painted green vines and tiny white and lavender blossoms on a shimmery nude pink base. One of my favorite floral sets from this month.
Look 7 — Stiletto shape, nail art: Ombre, abstract art, and silver chrome all on one set. This one was a full creative session — the client gave me a lot of freedom and I loved every minute of it.
Look 8 — Gel Polish, oval shape, nail art: Glossy nude base with delicate gold leaf designs and subtle white accents. Quiet and refined — the kind of set that gets compliments for weeks.
Look 9 — Russian Manicure, Gel Polish, square shape, French tip: A sheer nude pink base with crisp white tips and a high-gloss finish. The Russian Manicure prep makes the cuticle line look especially sharp here. Sometimes the classics are classic for a reason.
Look 10 — Gel Polish, rounded square shape, nail art: Pastel yellow with white stripes and tiny floral details. Cheerful and easy to wear — a great spring-to-summer transition set.
Look 11 — Square shape, nail art: Glossy olive green with gold leaf art over a nude pink base. An unexpected color combination that turned out really beautifully.
Look 12 — Russian Manicure, Gel Polish, round shape: Soft shimmery nude pink with a glossy finish. This is one where the Russian Manicure prep really shows — the skin looks clean and the color sits perfectly from edge to edge.
Look 13 — Gel Polish, oval shape, nail art: Sheer pink base with textured white tips and delicate gold abstract lines. A modern take on the French tip.
Look 14 — Gel X, almond shape, nail art: Vibrant blue French tips over a glitter nude base. The contrast between the sparkle and the bold blue is really striking on almond nails.
Look 15 — Gel Polish, stiletto shape, nail art: Intricate floral and mandala-inspired art in rich red, green, and gold on a glossy nude base. This one took time — and it was absolutely worth it.
Look 16 — Builder Gel, almond shape, nail art: Milky nude base with iridescent heart gems, gold foil sunbursts, and delicate starbursts. Celestial and dreamy — one of my personal favorites from May.
Look 17 — Gel Polish, square shape, nail art: Sheer pink base with hot pink and yellow French tips and tiny polka dots. Playful and bold — exactly the energy this client wanted.
Look 18 — Gel X, almond shape, nail art: Vibrant blue gel polish with delicate floral art on accent nails and a modern blue French tip variation. Fresh and summery.
Look 19 — Russian Manicure, Builder Gel, almond shape: Milky white with a high-gloss finish. Done with Russian Manicure prep — you can see how clean the cuticle area is, which makes the whole set look that much more polished.
Look 20 — Gel Polish, oval shape, French tip: Crisp white tips over a milky nude base with a glossy finish. A classic French tip on an oval shape — always a good idea.
Look 21 — Gel Manicure, almond shape, nail art: Pink and white ombre with delicate glitter and subtle blue and gold accents. Soft and feminine — the kind of set that feels special without being over the top.
Look 22 — Gel Polish, oval shape, nail art: Hot pink French tips on a glossy nude pink base. Bold and fun — a great way to add color without committing to a full bright set.
Look 23 — Russian Manicure, Builder Gel, oval shape: Nude pink ovals with a glossy finish. One of those sets that looks effortless because of the prep — Russian Manicure gives that seamless, skin-to-polish finish that's hard to get any other way.
Look 24 — Gel Polish, oval shape, nail art: Yellow and nude gel polish with hand-painted sunflowers and tiny bees. This one made me so happy to create — it's just full of summer energy.

Look 26 — Gel Polish, oval shape, nail art: Classic French tips with delicate white florals and subtle gold accents. A refined, feminine take on the traditional French.
Look 27 — Gel Polish, oval shape: Terracotta with a high-gloss finish. Rich, warm, and a little unexpected — this shade is having a moment and it looks incredible on oval nails.
Look 28 — Builder Gel, almond shape, nail art: Sheer pink base with shimmery white textured French tips. The texture on the tips adds so much dimension — it catches the light beautifully.
Look 29 — Gel Polish, oval shape, nail art: Light pink gel polish with dark red floral art on accent nails. A soft base with a moody floral detail — a really nice contrast.
Look 30 — Gel Polish, round shape, nail art: Teal nails with delicate gold foil art. The combination of that deep teal and gold is one I'd do again in a heartbeat.
Look 31 — Russian Manicure, Gel Polish, oval shape, French tip: Milky white base with crisp white tips and a high-shine gloss. The Russian Manicure finish is what makes a French tip like this look this clean — no lifting, no gaps, just a perfect line.
Look 32 — Builder Gel, squoval shape: Milky white squoval nails with a glossy finish. A clean, structured shape that's both modern and timeless — a great way to close out the month.
