Why Nail Tool Care Matters

Cuticle nippers, pushers, and other reusable metal tools can come into direct contact with skin. Kim follows a full three-stage process between clients: manual scrubbing, ultrasonic cleaning with Barbicide, then dry-heat sterilization in the MicroSTOP Protect.

Step 1: Manual Scrubbing

Each tool is hand scrubbed with a brush while Kim wears disposable gloves. This first stage removes visible residue before the deeper cleaning stages begin.

Step 2: Ultrasonic Cleaning with Barbicide

The tools then go into an ultrasonic cleaner with Barbicide. The ultrasonic action reaches the hinges and detailed edges of precision tools after hand cleaning.

Step 3: MicroSTOP Dry Heat Sterilization

Once dry, every tool is sealed in a sterilization pouch and processed in the MicroSTOP Protect dry-heat sterilizer. The fresh sealed pouch is opened for your appointment.
